Me or Sydney: Jameson.
Jameson: Yeah?
Me or Sydney: Do you know where we're going tomorrow?
Jameson: Yeah! (With a confidence that always seems to convince us that he does)
Me or Sydney: Where?
Jameson: Where?
Me or Sydney: Where are we going tomorrow Jameson?
Jameson: I don't know. Where are we going?
I've tried many times to explain to him that when we ask him if he knows and he says yes that it is supposed to mean that he knows the answer to the question, but it continues to go over his head.
This weekend his aunt and cousin are in town. Tomorrow we are going to play T-ball with Coach Derek in his sports class and then heading down to Lego Land! Good times ahead...

Martin Luther the King weekend and Booty Camp
Last weekend Omi came for a visit. She drove down on Friday and left on Monday. Jameson was very excited to see her, and Omi was very excited that Jameson immediately recognized her. The weekend included a celebration of the 49'er victory over the New Orleans Saints, two barbecues (one at Larry's and one at Brians), a trip to the zoo, a play date with Eli and even a date night movie for Sydney and I (Mission Impossible). Gotta love the holiday weekends!
Monday we finished it all off with a bike ride, or kind of a bike ride and a half. By this I mean, we decided this morning that a bike ride would be a great activity for the day and as soon as we said our goodbyes to Omi we loaded up on our bikes and set off for Venice Beach. About a mile and a half in Sydney started shouting at me to stop, and I worriedly did so assuming that we may be faced with another flat tire mishap, but when we came to a stop she informed me that we had a scheduled play date with Eli, one of Jameson's friends from Beach Babies that was supposed to have started 10 minutes ago! What to do?! We ended up calling them and explaining and riding back to meet them about 30 minutes late. We resumed the bike ride after nap time and had the good fortune to witness a huge group of dolphins goofing off in the surf! The were jumping out of the water wildly and splashing around, surfing waves toward the shore and just generally having a great time playing. It made me wish that I was out there on my paddle board getting an even closer look!
This weekend we are going to try to do the official potty training or as I heard someone else call it, Booty Camp. Sydney is at target now getting "Big Boy Undies" and a toilet seat to put over the big one. On the advice of parental peers we are going to put together a potty training backpack containing clean up materials, a full change of close and the toilet seat. This backpack is to remain with Jameson at all times! We're treating it like the "football" that contains the secret nuclear launch codes that is always with the President. We'll probably stop short of having it handcuffed to Sydney or I like we're a secret service agent, but the idea is the same. Right now he receives the reward of a Pez candy each time he makes a poop on the potty, which for him is far more exciting than I ever would have imagined. The funny part is that the little rascal has figured out how to game the system. His move is to get on the potty and squeeze out a poop, then celebrate ecstatically when he receives his Pez, but then minutes later he's back on the potty making another small one and getting another candy! By the time we finally figure it out and cut him off he's gotten 3 or 4 Pez out of the situation!
